This insignia was created for the U.S. Army’s 224th Area Support Medical Company after a close friend, deployed overseas, reached out with the request.

Working across time zones and limited communication, I collaborated with his commanding officer to develop a design that reflected the unit’s identity. The final insignia incorporates their nickname, Voodoo Medics, and motto, “Cheat the Reaper,” and was produced as both a patch and a challenge coin, distributed exclusively to unit members and allied NATO forces.

Providing this work for a friend actively serving made the project especially meaningful, and being gifted one of each piece was a profound honor. It is incredibly special to know that this insignia is not only recognized by our local unit but also shared with NATO service members around the world.
